Living on the West Coast of Canada, Diane finds strong inspiration in the natural setting surrounding her which has instilled a deep appreciation and respect for the environment.

Myths, fables and dreams also ignite her imagination bringing to life intricate creations populated with vibrant characters.  I work to bring a sense of wonder, mystery and whimsy into my art.  Often I’ll have the subject in my paintings looking out with an engaging eye – attempting to make contact and connect with the viewer. She is currently working on a series of assemblage art shrines in which she tries to incorporate her painting, her collected trinkets and treasures along with her new found love for whittling.
